New Wine of the Month

A Proud Expression of Place

Sourced from a single vineyard in Lyndoch, southern Barossa, thisGrenachecomes off vines planted back in1912— more than a century of growing history captured in the glass. These old vines, nestled in clay-based soils, consistently produce fruit with exceptional intensity, structure and site expression.

The 2023 growing season was cool and delayed, shaped by La Niña conditions. With no summer heatwaves and a late harvest, the fruit was able to ripen slowly and evenly, delivering bright natural acidity and nuanced flavour.

WinemakerJason Barretteemployed a gentle approach in the winery — whole berry fermentation with 25% whole bunch, a short time in seasoned French oak, and no fining or filtration. The result is a Grenache that’s vibrant, pure and layered.

Tasting Notes

Expect lifted floral aromatics, with notes ofredcurrant, cranberry, raspberry and warm spice. The palate is supple and juicy, framed by fine tannins and a long, fresh finish. Elegant now, and built to age gracefully over the next 6–8 years.
