“A former career soldier turned winemaker, Jason Barrette applied the discipline of his first career and the benefits of being part of the Penfolds winemaking team for the second to his new venture – with compelling results. This comes from an old Barossa vineyard with some heavy-hitting industry knowhow behind it, and it shows. It's dark and brooding, packed with black and red fruits, cocoa nibs, dark earth and ironside. It's precisely pitched, muscular but not cumbersome, powerful but perfectly poised. Outstanding. 96 Pts.”
